Art for the Heart is an "art for healing" project of MAS. Our mission is to foster health through creativity. Services Offered - free play days Tuesdays 10-1 pm, reduced workshop fees, unlimited use of studio with lots of art supplies, sewing machines, fabric, wool, yarns etc. Every Thursday is a free Hersday group 1-3. If you have a skill to share, we want you to lead a workshop in any art medium.

Peñasco lacks engaging services for seniors, which includes seniors centers and elder care facilities. Many seniors are aging in place with little access to resources and/or opportunities for elders to come together, practice traditional arts and shared community spaces. Art for the Heart programming reduces isolation and improves mental health and contributes to the cultural life of the community.
